James E. Hamilton, President

After serving his country in the United States Air Force, Jim earned a BS in Chemistry from Niagara University in New York.  Embarking upon a  thirty year career with the US Food & Drug Administration, he relocated with his wife Jacqueline to the Washington, DC area. Together, they raised two sons and a daughter.

Jim led a distinguished career with the FDA in Maryland, serving as a Regulatory Compliance Officer and the FDA’s lead authority on Import/Export issues. In March 1998, in the capacity of Team Leader of the Import/Export International Drug Team, he received Vice President Al Gore’s Hammer Award in recognition of making a significant contribution in support of reinventing government principles.

Upon retiring from the FDA, Jim went on to serve as Associate Director of Quality Assurance Compliance & Auditing for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in Pennsylvania and then as Director, Global Quality and Compliance for Bausch & Lomb, in  New York. In 2006, ready for a warmer climate, he and his wife (both native New Yorkers) relocated to Arizona.

Drawing upon his public and private industry background, Jim consulted on various projects for several leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. Jim founded JE Hamilton & Associates. He brings a powerful and diverse set of team building and leadership skills in his role as President.

Jim and his wife of over 40 years Jacqueline enjoy traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
